So far the food suggestions have been great from the OT for this road trip so thank you

Today it's the Bammer and Georgia area people's turn to help. Left Baton Rouge this morning and hit the worst traffic of the trip on 12East before Covington. Made my way through Madisonville and hit stopped dead traffic so back up to 12 for a bit before it cleared.

Currently in Atmore AL off 65 and need a good lunch spot recommendation between here and Montgomery.

Also looking for a dinner spot recommendation a long 85 in Georgia past Atlanta before Greenville SC

Thanks

Not much in that stretch to Montgomery. Maybe Bates Turkey? Not sure if the Conecuh sausage place serves lunch.

Priesters Pecans in Fort Deposit is a good stop for a buffet plate lunch type place. Right on the interstate.

if you have your wife and kids with you try Preister's right off 65 just past Greenville,ALA.

If you're by yourself, not sure you'd be crazy about that. Pretty much chains of sorts on that stretch of highway.

Any particular dinner fare you want? Commerce is about the last good stop in GA before you cross the state line. It's also far enough out of Atlanta that you won't get caught up in Atlanta wait times or traffic.

Also can look at Braselton (Chateau Elan) as a potential dinner stop as well.

I will often stop at Wintzell's Oyster House - I see there is one in Montgomery.

I'm open to anything, if I eat a late lunch in 45 min then I probably won't want to eat til 6pm or so and should be east of Atlanta by that point.

Buccees in Leeds, AL. I'm assuming you'll be driving through Bham on the way to ATL.

Atlanta chain best known for its wings and monster beer bar.

Taco Mac

There's one at the Mall of Georgia at Hwy 20 and 85. Probably the closest to your route.
