The petit fours are legit as are their doughnuts. If you need muffuletta bread they have that and pastry shells too. Liquor prices are meh somethings are insanely marked up while others are not. Good cheese selection and carry local produce too.

They have a lot of different veal cuts if you need veal.

I like how they sell both baby veal and calf cuts. I don't know any other place that does that. There are things you want the baby veal for, but the calf cuts are like half the price, and they actually are great in things like breaded cutlets, which I find can be sort of wasted on something like baby veal.

It def used to be like that. Five or so years ago some of the younger family members must have taken over because they have modernized the place.

For those of us that live on the east end of Metairie, it’s the best place to shop. Rouses gets worse all the time and fck going in Winn Dixie. I don’t mind paying more at Dorignacs just for the fact that they will always have plenty of registers open and hire mostly special needs people to be baggers.

Their meat and bakery departments are great.

Yeah- this was at least 15 years ago. Always appreciated their wine selection and pricing. Plus, one of the few places that you could get turtle meat on a consistent basis. Def had a senior citizen vibe going back then, but it was always clean and well managed.
