Here's another thing to consider.
What we humans call 'taste' is actually mostly smell instead of taste buds on the tong.

Dogs are the same but they have waaaaay more smell than us.

Thus, one might think that a dog will choose to eat a raw steak instead of hot fresh biscuits if given the choice of only one... because of their heredity as carnivores.

However, Hot fresh biscuits overload their sense of smell. A dog held on a leash and presented with the two choices in opposite directions will go for the biscuits due to the overpowering smell.

The inventor did, and he is scheduled to part the realm in a burial ceremony of Doritos(assumable every flavor). Inventive is twisted sort of manner, a serious twist of ashes to ashes. Exactly how this guy invented the concept of fried tortillas I have no clue, yet at thier heart it is what Doritos are in fact.

The creator of Doritos died at age 97.
BTW, we are not allowed to eat Doritos in our house because they contain cheese.
We eat Red Hot Blues...a cayenne covered blue corn chip made by Garden of Eatin.

In fact, today I was up to 7 miles on the treadmill and the lady next to me said "How far are you going?"

Me: "I've got to keep going till 9 am. That's when the Happy Hippie Sunshine Health Food Store opens across the street and my wife wants some Red Hot Blues.

Her: "They sell that stuff in Shreveport."

Me: "You want me to drive 10 miles to get a bag of chips?"

Her: "Oh yeah."

Probably not, but we're hooked on Red Hot Blues for 5 years now and the hippie store is right next to my gym.

2. Sweets... especially sugar cookies.

3. Pasta... they like anything with Monjuni Sauce.

4. Carrots.. raw, they can eat a half pound and it's good for their teeth. They also like Cauliflower and Broccoli.

5. Meat... they like the crispy crust from Walmart Fried chicken. Second favorite is trimmed fat off grilled NY strip steak. They also get the last hamburgers.

Good Lord.

I never feed my dog any people food, ever.

Wow dude, you're dogs are go down a lot earlier than they should.

I let my dog eat human food only if it's not processed or shite like that. Meat, veggies, etc. But only if I throw him a piece after dinner or something

One problem with that, Cit, it's been so long since I had cheese or a product with cheese that when I did sneak a piece of pizza on a road trip I got sick as a dog. My stomach has grown totally unaccustomed to cheese.

No idea who Hickiewin is. My brother is retired AF and doesn't post here. He eats a lot of cheese. He and his wife have a very small dog. Maybe 3 pounds. My beasts are not allowed at their house.

If your beasts knew what they were missing in not getting cheese, they would eat your wife in her sleep. Dogs love them some cheese.

Like I said before ... 3 times... youngest dog to die was 14. Oldest was 17.

Current two dogs are 16 and 10. Every single one of my dogs has outlived his breed's natural life expectancy... by a LOT.

Many people mistakenly feel they must feed pets cooked food. They are wrong. Dogs and cats have stomachs that are designed to eat raw food. That's why a dog can eat an old dead animal or fish and live through it. Many Vets seem to forget this very important fact. I can't tell you how many emails I get from pet owners whose Vets warn against feeding all natural because of a concern over getting sick. The fact is this is BAD INFORMATION. If you keep your food fresh there are no concerns.

The digestive system of domesticated dogs is not designed to eat processed or cooked food. Obviously wild animals do not cook their food. Cooked food or commercial dog food takes longer for dogs to digest than raw diets. In addition, the heat used to actually cook the food destroys enzymes and anti-oxidants.

In 1932 Francis Pottenger M.D. did experiments with cats. He fed one group of cats a raw diet and a second different group a cooked diet. By the third generation, those cats that were fed a cooked diet could no longer reproduce. They suffered from skin problems, skeletal deformities, behavioral problems and organ malfunctions.

The cats that were fed a raw diet thrived and reproduce easily. When the first and second generation cooked food cats were put back on a raw diet it took 4 generations for those cats to recover from the effects of the cooked food.

Found this interesting. Of course, this is referring to foods good for your dog.. not sugar cookies

(Zach, I share everything I eat with my dog so I'm right there with you but I won't argue that it's healthy because sugar cookies and table scraps simply aren't healthy.. not unless you're eating raw veggies and plain rice and uncooked meat)
