I haven't set foot in an Albertson's in a long time, I have three go to places and that's Rouse's, Champagnes in the Oil Center, and Fresh Market.

I'd be happy if BR could just steal the Rouses and Nunu's from Youngsville.

But y'all have Whole Foods, don't you? Is it worth driving from Laffy to BR to shop there? I've heard so much about Whole Foods for years.

Their specialty is having a wealth of fresh produce and seafood, and a hell of a meat dept.
You should be able to find a specialty store in Laffy to get most of that stuff. Not worth taking a long drive for.

i dont think so. Breaux Mart is just as good.
I want to ask a question, do the people pimping Rouses only shop at the new one downtown Nola? Or a new one built somewhere else?
I shop at the Metairie locations...and there is nothing really special about them. They are the SAME exact store as the Sav A CEnter was before them.
The new ones are nice, but the other ones are just meh. Same as the groceries that held the spot before them.

They fixed up the one at Airline and Labarre pretty nice.
The one on Veterans near Causeway had turned into a complete shithole by the time Rouse's took it over. Huge immediate improvement with staff and check out times.
If you have not been in that location lately, in the last month they have started a big renovation, especially in the wine/liquor area and in the cheese, cured meats area. New floors going in also.
I guess I'm being a little bit of a homer, but they won me with much better mgmt and by caring enough about wine/liquor to have someone in that area alot of the time who's only job it seems was to walk around and help people out.
