And I understand that the default answer is that there is never enough.

It's a first communion party starting at 2pm and going to whenever. Probably will have about 25 adults that will actually be drinking. This is what I bought so far.

50 bottles of wine
2L of vodka
2L of tequila
1 bottle gin
1 bottle of mezcal
2 bottles bourbon
2 cases of beer
4 bottles of margarita mix

I should be fine on the wine. I am not sure if we have any beer only drinkers. We plan on probably highlighting margaritas and smoke and mirror cocktails.

Am I light or missing anything?

25 adults and 50 bottles of wine plus the others? Are they all alcoholics? I’d half the wine and triple the beer

With 25 adults, you have enough alcohol for each to have:

2 bottles of wine,
2 beers,
3-4 cocktails

If the margarita mix has alcohol, then it’s 5 cocktails

it’s a mix of Irish and Cajuns. The problem is that I am not sure what everyone will be partial to drinking. My thought is that if I run out of something then people can find something else to drink.

I may get another bottle of tequila just to be safe.

if you run out it’ll be fine. It’s a first communion party (for an 8 yr old?) that shouldn’t involve alcohol anyway

I’d get some more beer, maybe some high noons and another bottle of tequila.

You should have left over wine.

My side is from Louisiana. We are up in the northeast. Apparently, first communions are a big fricken party for the Irish. Plan to have a bartender so that will help with the pouring.

Why didn't you say so in the OP? You're gonna need about 5-6 cases of the white cans.

Buying an extra bottle of each liquor wouldn't be a bad idea. Easy to store the excess and I'm sure you'll drink it.

If not, you can break it out for the First Penace party next year.

Bring back 25 bottles of wine and get 8 more cases of beer if you are dealing with Cajuns.

Had our 1 year old’s birthday party at the local country club bc the weather was shite and we didn’t have a good spot to have it. Club wouldn’t let us bring alcohol so we had an open bar. Yeah that’s right, open bar for a first birthday. LA folks don’t F around baw.

The thing that makes me laugh is not the open bar, it’s that the kids first birthday was at the damn country club. I’m sure my first birthday had an open bar, knowing my family, but it was held in our garage.
