Mid city, old Metairie or uptown as a third choice. Lots of places closed on Sunday night. Open to most cuisine

Don't think he wants cafeteria Italian. That's probably the last restaurant in mid city I would go to.
If you want a restaurant off the beaten path, I've fallen in love with Susan Spicer's new place, rosedale. It's a hidden restaurant in the neighborhood behind Delgado. Great prices, great food.

If you need dinner after JazzFest, you're not doing JazzFest right.

I love Mondo but she gives off the vibe of an attention whore

I can't speak to that but I can say that I prefer rosedale over mondo. We've been twice in the last week or so. Their shrimp puppies are phenomenal.

Rue 127 is another hidden gem in Mid City.

Toups Meatery. I think they are usually closed on Sundays but I saw them post on social media earlier that they are open today for jazz fest.
