I have had dinner twice with Morgan Freeman at his restaurant in Clarksdale, MS upstairs at a table of eight both times. After dinner went to his more casual place down the street and played pool with him for a couple of hours. He is by far the nicest celebrity I have ever met. If you asked him if he knew me he would say yes.
Glassman wins.

Just got me wondering, I'm sure several people have run into celebrities in New Orleans while dining out. Who'd you meet and what restaurant were you in?
Used to drink with John Goodman at House of Blues and Smith & Wollensky.
Ate lunch at Houston's with James Carville.
Shot pool in the Quarter with Lindsay Lohan for about 10 minutes when she was 17. Actually very nice but out of control.
Sidney Pollack (the director) at Canal Place.
A few others . . . Diane Lane, Josh Brolin, Richard Linklater, Steven Soderbergh, etc., JazzFest and N.O. Film Festival.

Had several encounters around the country, but, yesterday was the most recent. Had a few casual words with world famous personality, and celebrity restraunteur, Johnny Huntsman, while strolling through Home Depot..

Geauxt wins.
Saw Sandra Bullock in a restaurant in Austin one night. Everyone just let her eat, no autographs, etc.

In my best Russian accent I said......"I'll crush you". I had to explain that part as well!
It's "I Must Break You." Get it right if you're going to quote someone!

Saw Kid Rock and crew at the Rayville Waffle House years ago. He blended in quite well with the rest of the diners that frequent the Rayvegas Waffle house at 2 am on a Saturday.
Drank Coronas and ate oysters w/ Emeril at Acme in Destin. He was a cool guy.

Sat right next to Dan Akroyd, David Crosby, and Stephen Stills at the Old Coffee Pot.
I didn't bother them, but it was cool

He's one of my favorite actors and seems like a down to earth guy.
I just think that makes it more awesome. It sucks when some of them are douches, like the time I met Guy Fieri. Think he wasn't used to the south Louisiana humidity.

not sure if he's a celebrity but met up with john rocker at a bar after the braves beat the mets in game 1 of nlcs

I would never have the audacity to interrupt a celebrity's meal to get a picture.
It is completely rude. I can imagine why they would get annoyed.

Screw the Braves and screw John Rocker.
I've been a Mets fan my entire life.
But in all seriousness that's pretty cool.

Neither would I.
It seems that N.O. generally does a good job with leaving celebs alone when they are in town.

Had a couple beers with Tommy from Swamp People a couple weeks ago at a bar on the Westbank.
Used to hang with Reggie Wayne in the off season a good bit through a mutual friend.

I've waited on a few:
Brittany Spears
Brent Musburger
Kirk Herbstreit
Bob Costas
Nicolas Cage
Shaq
Omar Epps
John Brady
The only one that really got "bothered" was Shaq, but he was real cool about it. Shaq isn't one to go unoticed. The only one that really bothered me was John Brady. He just seemed like a nervous SOB.
Dined next to Matthew McConaughey at Coquette. Not one person bothered him the entire meal although my gf really wanted to.
