I absolutely LOVE smothered okra. Next time add some fresh corn MD. It’s like a cross between a corn macque shoe and smothered okra. It’s very good.

Beautiful dish.

I just made this a few nights ago. Basically your okra and shrimp creole stew recipe without the meat. Always enjoy your recipes MD.

I notice that you start off about every recipe with cooking some bacon. Can't go wrong with that.

Almost always. I like the flavor a lot and it is a good price at Sam's. We keep a plastic (old cashew nut jar) screw top cannister in the pantry and backfill it from the plastic bag lined burlap sack that we keep in the cabinet above the water heater.

We keep Arborio rice in the pantry for risotto, and other then that I always use Basmati.

There might be some brown rice. As you know it takes a long time to cook - used for breakfast dish with cinnamon, butter, walnut bits, raisins and sugar.
