True. But I have so many. Just bought 99 bucks worth of craft beers. Not sure what to start with.
I've got:
Delirium tremens
Delirium nocturnum
Andy gator
Young's double chocolate stout
Abita strawberry
Sam Adams blackberry witbier
LA 31 grenade
Ohara's irish stout

Delirium is by far the best of that list

Man I drink too much. I've had all of those beers except the last one. I haven't had delirium in a while...but I remember tremens being pretty good. Andygator is also around the same percentage but it tastes like it's strong . I like the blackberry sam adams. All the LA 31's I've tried are pretty bad. Abita strawberry is ok. I'm not as much of a fan of it as I used to be. And I actually enjoy Young's. To start, I'd go tremens.

Tremens---Belgian Strong Pale Ale | 8.50% ABV

Nocturnum---Belgian Strong Dark Ale | 8.50% ABV

Regarding what to drink when, just use common sense. Don't wreck your palate with a BIG beer and then try a pale ale or a strawbery Abita...

Drink one or two of these
Abita strawberry
Sam Adams blackberry witbier
LA 31 grenade

Then one or two of these
Delirium tremens
Delirium nocturnum
Andy gator
Ohara's Irish Stout

I'd save the choc stout for a desert after dinner one night. Its very sweet.

FWIW I like LA 31 grenade.

I like the tremens better than the nocturnum. I remember going to the chimes and ordering 2 tremens with this desire to save the bottle. What I remember after that is looking at the table thinking "that GD waiter stole my bottles!"

Your palate needs to get in the Austin thread and start recommending some beers.

Tremens is the better of the two a six pack equals the worst headache you have ever had.
