7, 4, 6

Holy crap, guys. The creativity that went into these this time is just amazing.

I'm totally blown away by entry 7. Completely different than anything I would have expected.

ETA: Oops, got my numbers wrong

There's a lot of inside info in these posts for sure. Store information, home brewing, fiance's etc.

I'm probably one of the few who has no clue.

1)4
2)7
3)6

Seriously tho, this was really hard.

I couldn't leave out 7 simply bc it showed the most technical skills IMO and thinking of how the flavors would mesh. I would prefer several of the dishes above it tho if I was ordering them.

#4 IMO is a much simpler take on the 4 ingredients but there is no doubt in my mind that it would be absolutely delicious. Some of the peppermint uses in the other dishes were questionable but bacon+peppermint??? = delicious.

The third spot was the hardest for me but I think #6 really got the 4 ingredients mixed into a singular dish whereas some of the others just made sides using one of the ingredients.

Well done all tho, I would genuinely eat all 8.

I have no clue about most of them, that's for sure.

#1 - Entry 7

#2 - Entry 1

#3 - Entry 6

This one was tough for me between 7 and 1. Sorry to everyone else, but those two entries are WAY WAY far and above everyone else IMO. If one of those two don't win, I will be shocked. My problem with 7 is they didn't transform the Chorizo, so I had to think long and hard about that one.

My problem with 1 is I hate meatloaf

Seriously that is the only reason I left it off, I am 100% aware I have internal bias in my rankings.

I will say that if I was to ever eat meatloaf, it would be this version of it.

I'm really, really surprised at the votes for #4. That is meant as no disrespect to #4.

Just LOOK at it. If you don't want to eat that you're not right in the head.

I want to eat it. But I take WAY more into account than what I want to eat.

The originality of #7 is just outrageous. 4 is a burger.

Un-fricking-real. boys and girls, these are some damn fine dishes you all put out. all kinds of effort, creativity and love going into this competition .. awesome.

my vote:

1. 8 / looks utterly delicious. flavors sound like they all balance each other and make for a great dish and the technique is brilliant. would eat in a heartbeat and go back for more.

2. 1 / great use of potatoes and ground turkey. sauce looks absolutely killer and meatloaf looks rich, moist and not too dense.

3. 4 / that burger has me wanting to leave work and immediately make one. awesome idea to use the peppermint to candy the bacon.

After checking out all the pictures on my phone, that's the one that stood out. My mouth was watering looking at that burger.

Gold: Entry #4,
Silver: Entry #8, that looks pretty tasty as well.
Bronze: Entry #7, I'm amazed at the creativity and skill.

ETA: And yeah, #4's use of peppermint candied bacon is brilliant, wish I would have thought of that.

i think #4 also utilized the peppermint in the best way IMO.
