Looking to open 2 locations in Baton Rouge, supposedly.

WAFB

I've eaten at the NOLA location twice wasn't blown away, but it's better than Frankie's which is awful!

What I really found interesting was the $50000 Franchise Fee and $992K - $2.8m to operate. Hot dogs must be Waygu lol!

They were supposed to come open in that new strip mall at Burbank and Lee but decided it was not in line with their style. I only see it working in an area of high foot traffic.

Article talked about that. It appears they have locations picked out and are looking for investors right now.

The one on Frenchmen has taken a nosedive.... at there for the last time a couple of weeks ago.

Got a dog topped with etoffee, didn't have a single crawfish tail on it, just orange broth...sent it back and it came back with more orange broth

Gotcha. I like Dat Dog but I'm unsure on where it would work in BR. The old Rotolos/Bud's/now Smalls Sliders would have been a great location for them.

About a year ago they announced they were coming to Houston with plans to open 25 restaurants in the area.

Not a single one has opened.

Plz fix, thx.

But Dat Dog sucks, very over priced for what they offer, which is essentially hot dogs. The only reason I went to the one in NOLA was bc it was right by Tulane and had an awesome outdoor seating area on Freret st.

Yep, the patio on Freret is pretty much the only reason I would ever eat Dat Dog when I lived in NOLA.

Sonic, because of the chili cheese tots, just slight beats out the On the Run gas station roller hotdogs.

I’ve been to Dat Dog on magazine twice. It’s okay.

I’m not sure what location would work here in BR. Maybe on Chimes by City Slice or in White Star?

A big draw to Dat Dog (and all other locations have) is a patio. Maybe the old Kona Grill location would work for them but their interior doesn't really match that space. I think somewhere by campus or the overpass are about the only areas a Dat Dog would work.
