Darla's Kitchen Remodel (scary "before" pics added on pg. 5)

I've been talking about this for more than two years. I hope now that I'm posting the kitchen reveal, y'all aren't too sick of it all.
Demo started on March 2 and everything was functioning by July 2. However, there is still a punch list of things, blah blah blah.
The remodel included kitchen and breakfast nook, den, laundry room and 1/2 bath. I'll post before pictures at a later time. We (meaning the people we hired, not our own damn selves) knocked down the wall between kitchen and den and pretty much took it down to the studs.
Enlarged the kitchen and made it a kitchen with keeping room. We're still waiting on furniture we ordered for that, so I'll wait to post pictures of it later.
I took pictures this morning, trying to use as much natural light as possible because I wanted true colors to show. Once you have the under cabinet lights, the can lights and the pendants on, the colors change a bit. I apologize if y'all think the pictures are too dark. I hope it's not a waste of your time.
I will post pics of inside some of the drawers and cabinets, but I'm waiting for customized drawer inserts to come in.
I have to tell y'all that I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new kitchen. It is a dream to work in, so far.
The counter tops are Fantasy Brown quartzite. In person, it is so beautiful. It has a leathered finish, which means you feel texture.

Really like that sink and island top

Thanks, Papa, we were hesitant to get a one bowl sink, but have no regrets, now that we're using it. The island top is walnut.
Thanks, Wink!

Are those floor tiles vinyl?

Double ovens are nice Darla.
Hopefully you got the Food Network option on your ovens so you can put the stuff in the top oven and then immediately open the bottom oven and pull out the fully cooked dish.
Everything looks really nice. Love the island and overhead lights you chose.

Darla, you did a beautiful job. I especially like the cooktop and the island counter.

Nice. I probably would have drawn out a more interesting color from the quartzite for the backsplash, but I love cabinets and the color of them and the island. Good job.

Count, you making fun of my excitement over a little bling in the kitchen? I love my glass door knobs! I have them on three regular interior doors and a pair of French doors.

Nope. Porcelain tile.

Thanks, Gaston. I really wanted the countertops to be the star. I didn't want it to look busy or have one thing competing with another. HOWEVER ... if I had unlimited funds (or if any of you Ballers do), I might have chosen Ann Sachs tiles. Mouthwateringly beautiful. Here's what would have gone great with our counters (at more than ten times the cost of what we chose):

The wall color actually brings out one of the best shades, as do those badass tiles you just posted, but it's obviously all real nice. You going to cut on your chopping block island? It's all good till you have some stupid family member or friend go to town cutting lettuce and scar them deeply.
To me the cabinets are the star. I wish I could have afforded that style, face to face...door to door.
