Went and ate brunch at a place called "Smoke" I believe, food was really good and I really enjoyed their Bloody Mary as well.

Come for the restaurants and stay for the hacked tornado sirens playing in the middle of the night.

Angry Dog, best burger.
Came Rosso, best pizza.
Pecan Lodge, best BBQ. Next up is Lockhart Smokehouse.
Mia's, best brisket tacos.

And the pork chop is a must at Perry's.

Any of those do lunch too. I'll add Angry Dog for a burger,,,,and Rodeo Goat too.
Tacos Mariachi (good seafood tacos) or Trompo for tacos. Both are near each other.

If the weather is nice, HG Supply Co is one of my favorite spots to grab a drink and a bite on the rooftop patio when I'm visiting Dallas.

Where will you be staying?

Pecan Lodge is a great BBQ spot that would be fun for lunch and puts you in Deep Ellum which is a good area if you want to hang around and have a beer.

The city is quite large. Where are you staying?

Javier's around highland park is pretty good. The quail is bomb.

I'd definitely recommend Desperado's, Pepe and Mito's, and Banditos.

People here seem to love Mia's, so there must be something to it. I went once (at lunch) and was not impressed. I'll have to give them another shot.

I had a great experience there.

Also, Meddlesome Moth for a pub with killer food.
