Cyrus Restaurant - first impressions and pics

Well for starters I'm an idiot. I meant to pick up a to go menu so I could post it on here.
Lunch entrees here run between 9.50 and 14.50 or so. Atmosphere was nice for an ethnic restaurant. White table cloths, decent looking bar, stemware, etc...
I got an app called kashek bademjan
Unfortunately I had already taken a few bites out of it so it doesn't look as good as it did when it was served. Essentially it's a blend of eggplant and garlic that is topped with a dollop of homemade yogurt and some crispy caramelized onions. Good for dipping pita bread in.
For the entree I got a dish called sheeshleek. Lamb with basmati saffron rice. In my limited experience with Iranian food this is how a lot of the meals are served. Meat then a side of rice with a roasted tomato and possibly some sort of roasted pepper.
I was pleased with this dish. It was cooked slightly more than I would normally cook lamb but maybe that's just the way they do it. It was probably about medium to medium well.
They had a couple of interesting dishes that I really want to try. One was called cranberry rice. It's some sort of stewed chicken with cranberries and basmati rice. I'm probably not doing the description much justice but it sounded good.
Hopefully I can hunt down a to go menu or see if anyone has posted anything online yet. I'm planning on going back to this place multiple times.
On a side note: some portly grey haired chap sat down and mentioned something about doing something for a TV show there now that they're open. He was wearing a cubs hat. Anyone know who this TV personality might be? Some sort of food critic maybe?

It all looks and sounds good to me. Thanks for the write-up P-Man.

Right...and keep in mind like I said that I had already eaten all of the garnish...I didn't think it looked bad.

Thanks for the post. I really like this type of food and will definitely have to check this place out next time I am out that way

Someone (whose opinion I should not have trusted) told me they served burgers and it was shite.

At courtyard?
Why the hell would you order burgers from a place like that anyway
That would be like going to a chinese buffet and only eating the mac and cheese

No, he gave me the impression it was like an American grill-type of restaurant, not this. Given the menu, I am inclined to believe he was bold-faced lying about even eating there.

Yeah unless the only thing he bothered to look at was the burgers
