Crawfish this early?

Saw both Tony's Seafood and Marty J's have crawfish already this year...seems extremely early.

Is this normal and I've just always missed it or is there some anomaly going on this season?

I've seen crawfish at Sammy's in Dec before.

People were eating them at Hook & Boil in Broussard last night. They were small.

Yes, and I've seen some that are larger than what I'd expect right now. Think I saw an article somewhere about that, also.

We got 3 sacks in today at one of our restaurants . Nice size at $ 3.00 lb .

Usually always start serving them in the breaux bridge/ henderson area for thanksgiving. Farmers usually started baiting and fishing ponds in November.

Yep. Harold's has been selling since before Thanksgiving.
