Called tonight for the first time this season to check a place and I must be losing my hearing.

Just got 8 lbs crawfish, 4 corn, and 4 potatoes for $48.38 at Big Fisherman in New Orleans.

$6.50 in NWLA.
WTF?
They have used gas as an excuse for several years and gas is being given away these days and I heard the crop was good this year.
Was hoping we'd get under $4 but shite is up $2 from last year.
I'll never eat a crawfish again as long as I live before I pay $7/pound.

$30 all you can eat crawfish on Tuesdays in Breaux Bridge. That's the only time I'll be eating crawfish this season

It's February, cold, and been rainy for the past two days. And you think prices are too high?

$5/lb SWLA
I would love to get 3#s or so of decent crawfish for 20 bucks. Look at this crap that they are serving here. They boil the crawfish and you put them in a bag with seasonings to shake. Prices are rediculous (as are their "combos", one pound of crawfish?)

They can charge whatever they want. They know us coonasses love crawfish and will pay no matter what. We have ourselves to blame for not telling them to frick off when we see the price.

To answer your question you probably get about 20-25 crawfish per pound

About $7/lb here in Lafayette, though I think I saw Rouse's doing it for $6/lb
