I've seen a lot of dumb shite when it comes to boils but that's a new one. If I saw someone do that I would egg them on and tell them how great it made it so they continue to do it at other boils

I always just dump them in ice chest with plug open and spray the ice chest for a couple minutes to wash em real good. Thats it

I've never, never used salt to purge. I've never had a complaint except for that one time I used too much lemon oil. Never living that shite down.
