Checked the Crawfish App and found some at my usual spot for $2.29 boiled!

Up here in Ellic the cheapest I have found is 10 pounds with C&P for $30. Not bad for this time of year.

Well they will need to sell them to someone. How much do processors usually buy them per pound?

Noice. The place I buy mine from, usually, in BR is still at $3.50/lb for boiled. They're cheaper if one's ordering more than 10 lbs, but that's still just an okay price. I'm sure if I shopped around, I could find a better deal.

I remember my dad buying them for $10 a sack in the mid 80’s

Yep, and $10 for a 100 lb. sack of oysters too. I've had many sacks in the 20-22 dozen range and bought for $10.

Those days are long gone. Last time I priced oysters they were $45+tax for a mini sack of about 100 oysters, so 8 1/3 dozen works out to right at $5 a dozen and you have to open them yourself.

That's hardly 70's prices, but certainly a lot better this time of year than it has been in the past several years.
