Which do you like? A nice baked honey ham is awesome, but nothing like country ham. Or country ham biscuits with mustard. We order Smithsfield country when we get the chance. When they have it. It must be a seasonal thing. We actually do a turkey and a country ham for Christmas.

I like a real, non-factory/mass produced country ham...say,a Newsome's or Benton's.

Not a big fan of a spiral honey ham. Watery, not so flavorful. I do like a non spiral, homemade glazed ham.

Both...country ham is he best, though. With red eye gravy and homemade cathead biscuits.

I just slapped my mama from 450 miles away reading that.

Depends on the meal. It is almost impossible to have a better breakfast than good country ham and fresh biscuits.

I like both, each to their own purpose. Pig is delicious.

Lots of people feel that way. You can get around some of that by soaking and changing the water out a few times. The funky taste (if it's aged) puts off people as well.

If it comes from the rear leg of a pig and it doesn't have hooves, I'll eat it.

Country for a stand alone protein as a meal, honey as a sammich or with other meats like turkey.

Country ham.

Guy that lived around the corner from me in Memphis as a kid (6th-graduation HS) owned a Country Ham family business his grandfather started. His family went to the same church as mine. He provided delivery van with the shelves removed to take church youth groups places like camping, canoeing, and such. He always gave my family free hams for either Thanksgiving, Christmas, and/or Easter, depending on current business.

Lipscomb's Country Ham went under when he retired though. Nobody wanted to buy the business and he and wife were childless. They had breakfast sandwiches and stuff before the fast food giants back in the 70's and 80's even.

Agreed. I'm a big fan of Rice's. They taste more like the ones my Grandfather used to cure on his farm than any other I've had...

They sell whole hams? Cracker Barrel country ham is the greatest imo.
