Whats on the menu for the game Sunday?

Not sure if I’ll be stirring in a pot or flipping meat on the grill yet.

Supposed to be raining, so I was thinking jambalaya.

Really wanted to put some stuff on the smoker, but not doing that if its supposed to rain.

Wife made one the other day. As long as you eat it indoors it’s not too bad. haha

I eat and make hot foods all Summer. Do you only eat and cook cold foods?

Not sure what we want to do for the game yet.

Maybe gumbo. Maybe something else but whatever it’ll be, it will be a lot!

It’s not the fact that it’s hot for me, it’s that it’s a “heavy” food. In general, I prefer “lighter” foods in hot weather. I also rarely eat other “cold weather” foods during the summer.

I don't consider gumbo to be a heavy food. I would consider Jambalaya, pastalay or a chicken stew to be heavy.

On my menu, thinking about doing some smoked, then fried chix wings and legs.

Neither do I. If you eat too much of anything, it can result in a heavy meal.

I'm thinking about a cup of gumbo for an app and a salad of shrimp, avocado, onion, tomato and hard boiled egg with sweet vidalia onion dressing for the entree. Snickers ice cream bars for dessert.

Just bought my FIL an Oklahoma Joe Bronco in black. Gonna put it together, season, and smoke a Brisket on Sunday for the game. Really looking forward to it. Has anyone used this bad boy before? Seems fun and simple.

I bought a WSM a few years back, but had it narrowed down to the WSM or the Bronco. Friend of mine has a Bronco and it turns out some good bbq too.

Today my mom invited the family over for lunch on Sunday (with no LSU game in mind)
So that pretty much ruins my all day cooking plans. We’ll eat lunch and hurry back to the house for the game. Might make some dips or something to snack on. Will have plenty of beer on hand.
