The shed fricking sucks. The most overrated BBQ place I've been to.
Been to blue oak twice. Wings are outstanding. The brisket was a bit underwhelming as it seemed both times I got overly fatty cuts. Haven't tried the ribs yet. As a side, their white beans were probably the best I've had anywhere in the city.

I use to shoot the shite with Mikes dad when he was set up at the Shell Station on Prospect and East Park right after his original place burned down. He would go in early and smoke meat on a real pit every day at 4AM. I sure wish he would have got the spot at the new gas station the build across street instead of that Subway

That would be sweet, Thib is closer to my house than Big Mikes in Houma.

Would be nice if that's true. All Thibodaux has for BBQ is Donut and Deli (I know...) and Grady V's in the Country Club. And at Grady V's, all they do is brisket (which kills Big Mike's), chicken (Mike's is better but not by much) and a pulled pork sammich.
