Anyone know of places in BR that have roastbeef poboys like the places mentioned?

their 'deli' meat po boys are decent, but anyone can make those

Right

I like the roast beef poboy at spotlight bar in Metairie

Only thing that sucks is you can only get it M-F during lunch. But it's definitely really flavorful and he makes his own roast beef. (he does slice it thin though)

B.R. is devoid of all things New Orleans. About as close as they came was a Bear's. But the idiots closed it.

Acme has a roast beef poboy, it is o.k.

The problem is no Leidenheimer's bread in B.R.

I've never tried the shrimp. I'll ask Chad what's up with the batter.

I don't know why they don't care about the seafood poboys. Not big sellers I guess.

Some places have brought it in at times, but apparently the delivery is spotty. I remember Opie talking about that.

My brother in law owns Shortstop.

Tell him to tell his employees to smile a little. Everytime I've been there, they all look like they are miserable to be there.
I absolutely love Short Stop and brag a bit about them to my family back in BR, but sometimes I feel like I'm gonna get my head chewed off by ordering food.

They're busy. Plus, they are working in pretty tight quarters. I'd look pissy too.

best RB in BR, i had it last week, Pocorello's on Sherwood and Coursey, amazing bread, nice and juicy RB, as close to nola you can get without going there

acme's is horrible, chimes is mediocre

give Pocorello's a try, i posted a thread on here last week asking about it and it is the bees knees my friend

Every po boy I have had in Baton Rouge was served on hotdog bun type bread or french bread. The bread is vital to a great po boy.

Pokie must have caught the Leidenheimer's route guy in bed with a goat, he always has his delivery.

I'm going tomorrow.

I've heard too much about this Pokie. I'm gonna cheat on the diet and eat two poboys. Thanks
