so BR, review of the place?
I'm from the Italian part of Lake Vista in New Orleans. Just a disclaimer for joe in case he gets offended.
I knew to bring cash, so that wasn't an issue. I got Pokie to check me out after waiting in line for a few minutes. I saw the old lady checking us out like she wanted to talk/bitch to Mrs. getthenet and me.
We got the roast and meatball poboy and split them. Next time I am gonna try the muffaletta, and most likely the roast again. That is the best roast beef in B.R. for dang sure. Nothing in this town is even a close second.
Now, for that crew running the joint-I need for xanax and four miller lite.
You definatley can't go there if you're in a hurry. Also seeing people that are pissy, not that interested to see you unless they like you, and are ready for you to leave once you get there reminds me of family dinner over the holidays with my own relatives.
All in all, I'm going back. With the xanax and miller lite in me.

LOL, not unusual. Sometimes they operate like Mussolini's railroads, on time and on track, other days not so much. But the food is always exceptional, look in the deli case at the meats he carries and uses in his sandwiches, all good stuff.
I will do a shout out for 2 sandwiches that don't get ordered much, the Hoagie and the meatball with eggplant.
