Ideal Market, Fresh Market

Not in BR, but la mexicana grocery on Hwy 30 in Gonzales has the best chorizo in the area in my opinion

if you can't find a fresh meat market or Mexican Taqueria that sells it, Rouses and Super One has it in the 16 oz plastic tubes. I make breakfast taquitos all the time with chorizo, eggs, cilantro, cheese, and Mexican Crema

That's the problem with chorizo imo. I never completely understood how greasy it is until I ordered choriqueso dip at a Mexican restaurant and was able to fully appreciate how much grease was swimming in the dip. It's nuts.

There’s more than one kind.
Iberian style is like a typical smoked sausage. Mexican style is a loose, spicy, concoction. Totally different products.

Any Mexican grocery makes decent shite sausage.

Somebody is spicy tonight!
I thought Winn Dixie was better than Fresh Market. That’s why I’m asking for options.

This. I’ve tried most of the options around, and nothing touches this, in my opinion. And don’t listen to Trout…he was once molested with a Spanish chorizo link or something.

I've seen it at Valdez Market when I go buy fajita meat.

This stuff from Walmart is the worst stuff in the world. I thought I would use it to stuff some jalapeno peppers
. It's so mushy and has a terrible flavor. I cut it with ground beef. Still shitty.

I would advise not to look at the ingredients of that $hit.

This product is absolutely horrible. Ruined a pot of chili colorado. Absolutely disgusting. Turned me off chorizo. May have to try locally made to see if it can be palatable.

I tried that stuff once and it literally melted into just a big pile of grease in the pan.

It basically tasted like a bad sloppy Joe that you poured a cup of grease on. I couldn't even tell when it was cooked, it just moved to a different phase of mush.
