I have a friend coming from out of town that is a bit concerned about the virus and suggests we eat outside for dinner tomorrow night. I was thinking of the Chimes rooftop in Baton Rouge but is it really hot up there at 530? It seems like the sun would be beating down on that area in the evening. Are there any other patios in town that are nice to grab a bite? I think Umami used to have outdoor seating but havent been there since they redid the menu.

Yes, it's hot as balls up there at 5:30. But tomorrow is supposed to be a lower humidity and slightly cooler day, so it might be OK.

Parrains patio would be a more comfortable choice in this heat

Don't go be miserable and sweat your arse off because your friend is a dumbass pussy. Tell them to uber eats and go sit in the AC

Send them a screenshot of the weather forecast and tell them to grow some balls and enjoy the AC.

If they are that concerned then they have been vaccinated, right?

Go to Zippys. They have covered outdoor seating. I believe they have fans as well

You could set up a picnic on the parade grounds and open some wine and make sweet love for dessert on the blanket. Make sure to mask up though.

Edit: I thought this was the OT. I dont like to be silly on the F&D board. With that said, get to Chimes rooftop early enough (~4pm) so you can get a spot under fans with decent coverage.

Rooftop?

In early August?

At 5:30 PM?

In Baton Rouge?

There is absolutely zero way you can be from here. None. Nada. Zilch. I refuse to believe it.
