I think if you're coming in from out of town and jonesing for some seafood, why not do Chimes one night and LL the other?

Money, for one? And I guess the Chimes is more casual now that they have kids in tow.

I hear you though, EVERY time they come in town I get a call to meet up at the Chimes. Never fails. Not once.

I find only little differences between it and Chimes.

I agree with you & others that Chimes food is overrated, but it is mucho better than Walk-On's IMO.

I agree that Chimes is much better than Walk-Ons. I won't be giving any more money to Walk-Ons or VooDoo.

Well yeah them too, but I am speaking in general most people I know from out of town.
Even people who have never been here before as well as people who have lived here and know there is better food than Chimes out there.

Gumbo is fine

Gumbo is average at best, but the shrimp & corn soup is the best I've had in BR.

Same with the crawfish etouffe

Above average in BR.

The blackened alligator is excellent and they will make a poboy out of it if you ask.

Walk-On's food was horrid the 2 times I went and I haven't been back since.

Mid 90's Chimes was money. Very good lookin' womens as waitstaff and food was very good. Now, both are just above mediocre.

They will also sub it on a salad in place of chicken/shrimp/salmon if you ask.
