What's the difference between Mexican and domestic sour cream...and where would one buy this?

I always had chili over a bowl of noodles growing up. Its a good way to stretch chili if you are poor. I have done it for nostalgia a few times as an adult.

Most grocers are carrying it now even Wal Mart. It’s a bit thinner and not as tangy and it won’t curdle.

But I stumbled across this post that made me laugh. This gal seems angry.

I make chili and prefer it with some hot peppers and crackers only.

Bowl of chili with saltine crackers. Either a glass of cold milk or sweet tea with it. I've never tried it with cornbread. I may have to try that. I eat cornbread with my veggie soups so it would be similar.

The only things that go in my chili are Fritos, shredded cheese, and sour cream.

I feel like this is being overlooked and I'd like to explore this.

A bowl of chili and a peanut butter sandwich? Strange combo.

Most grocery stores carry it. Crema Fresca is what you're looking for.

It's a regional thing I think, mostly in the midwest. My aunt in Illinois offered pb sandwiches with chili once when I was up there. My mom asked her about it and her husband from Iowa introduced her to it.

I lived in Columbus for 4 years and know tons of Ohioans and I have never heard of this

I guess it's a "soup and sandwich" combo?

Yeah, my mom is from Ohio and was taken aback when her aunt offered the PB sandwiches with chili. It was surprisingly a good pairing.

Chili with sour cream, cheddar cheese, sour cream, and Ritz crackers crushed up is great.

I also love chili with cornbread.
