I really wanted a bottle of the derby edition last year. I think it had winning colors on the bottle. Useless husband was in ky for months and did not grab me a bottle.
I'll drink the ménage a trois if no 14h, or even apothic sometimes. Those are the desperate nights when I have to stop at walgreens on the way home from the barn

Can't think of a specific bottle, but I like to grab random Italian or Spanish wines at Trader Joes for under $12. The Italians and Spaniards know how to do cheap wine good. I've also read to be wary of cheap Pinot Noirs because they tend to be more blended vs other grapes...or something like that. That being said, I like Caretaker Pinot Noir and Rosemont Estates Pinot noir...both for $10

Anybody and everybody that´s in da ATL, there is a dirt cheap basic table wine named ´Tablao´, which is from the Navarra region of Spain, and available at the Atlanta Highway/McFarland Kroger (Grassland).
It is of 100% tempranillo, and is absolute money.
$7.99 (I believe they planned to originally sell at 14.99), and I´ve had many, many wines here, there, and everywhere, that were just shy of three times this reduced price, and markedly inferior in quality.
I´ve never been a fan of Navarra, and it may be that I´m now living here I see things differently and in a slightly nostagical vein, but damn, it is fricking amazing (for the price).

Life is too short to drink cheap wine.

Was scrolling to the end to see if anyone came up with this. Cab is the best.

2012 Jacob's Creek Reserve Cabernet is fantastic at around $10. Can get at most groceries.
2009 I Giganti Buoni Toscana for around $10 is the best value Chianti I've had.

Except it isn't a Chianti. Toscana is also known as a Super Tuscan. It's a blended wine and yes, Super Tuscans can be very, very good.

Rex and Bogle are my go-to cheapos. Mondavi Cab is always in the rack at $9.99 and it's damn good. If I'm having a good week, I'll break open a Napa Valley RM or Vinters Reserve KJ.

You frickers are light weights......Bota Brick is the best value to this day.
One brick from Costco is like $16 and it equals 4 bottles. They have different wines, but I have not tried anything other than the Red Blend.

"Super Tuscan" is such a bastardized word created by Robert Parker. The original connotation revolves around the greatest wines of the region, i.e. Sassicaia, Solaia, Tignanello, Guado al Tasso, Tenuta Sette Ponti Oreno, etc. I would definitely say that every wine I have had from Toscana has not been "Super".
On another note, I'll preach it for days, but Spain hands down delivers the best wines for the price. Whether it be a Garnacha from Calatayud or Monastrell from Jumilla, you can easily find fruit driven juice for under $10 with 90 point ratings across the board.

And Ryno, we have had this discussion about cheap and expensive wine before. I still don't understand how you still believe all wine, regardless of price, tastes no different than another. You must have the worst palate or sense of smell in the world (which you would be wrong in saying they taste the same since all you taste is sweet, sour, salty, and bitter in wine because umami doesn't exist as they don't have protein chains). I can scientifically prove that analogy wrong with registered levels of residual sugar, acid levels, and tannin concentration (bitterness) that directly correlate to your tongues actual perception of the "taste" of a wine. Now if when you smell it, all you smell is red grape juice, then I truly feel for you.
