Had a fantastic Sunday brunch there this weekend. Meat:cheese board was terrific, Drum with brussels and a lump crab cream. homemade pistachio ice cream was a killer dessert. Better than mowing my swamp of a yard after church!

We went for Sunday brunch a few times before C-19, it was always fantastic!

We don’t really frequent many other places downtown. Red white and brew is fun, tacos and beer is good, and I like the pour house. Outside of downtown Le Saigon and Buddies Bar and Grill are our favorites in Hammond

Going for the first time this weekend and am ecstatic. Have been wanting to try it for the longest. Menu looks fantastic.

cena is the best restaurant in Hammond, we eat there once a week.
guy who owns it is great people too.

Scallop appetizer or lamb appetizer.
Their hot Italian ciabatta is good if you are in the mood for a sandwich.
Otherwise just lunch size portions of any of their pastas are good.

Finally had a chance to check it out for lunch Friday. My expectations were probably too high, but I found it to be pretty average. Had the lamb meatballs for an appetizer, and they were excellent. Decided on the steak panini entree special, and it was just meh. It tasted fine, but it had far less meat in it than you would expect, especially for the price. Service was very average, as well. Not giving up on it, I’ll be back to have some sort of pasta dish eventually.

here’s a perfect meal for 2 at cena
spilt a salad or an appetizer (both salads are great and the roasted beets and tuna Napoleon are outstanding)
half order of pasta (they are all great)
the market fish or a steak
cannoli or tiramisu
