My husband and I have been wanting to try this place for a while. We definitely will be going back.

Yesterday (a Saturday) we arrived to eat a late lunch. To our surprise, they handed us a brunch and breakfast menu. They did have a limited regular menu (burger, sandwiched, gumbo), but the brunch menu looked too good to pass up.

We got an assortment of things to try. The biscuits might be the best I've ever had, flavorful sausage gravy, a dish with fried oysters and eggs benefict, and a great egg hash with fresh veggies and andouille. Also, my husband enjoyed the Bloody Mary "Buffett" that allowed you to prepare it how you like.

The service is also awesome. It looks nothing like Brewbacher's-- it's clean, fresh, and cozy.

Highly recommend.

I ordered it to go and this was my experience. Saw online that the Cajun chicken alfredo pasta was a chalkboard special. So I ordered that. When I did the guy on the phone told me I shouldn't because it wasn't very good. So
I asked him what he thought I should get. He said the brisket and two sides. So I said sure and asked if I could have the scalloped potatoes as a side... Out of it. So I said well just give me the Mac n cheese and fries. I get there and to my surprise this meal is 15.34 without a drink. What a joke. I take it home and this brisket was like no brisket I've ever had. More like a mystery meat. The Mac n cheese was like a mustard color and had no flavor. It was an awful meal. Esp for $15. Will never return. Nice suggestion jackass

I know jackshit about opening a restaurant but I think we reached a point that new restaurants are at a real disadvantage because they just cannot operate without charging high prices. Or new restaurants just suck at pricing things and try to recover their upfront overhead too fast.

Joined over two years ago to advertise today...that's what we call the long con.

Or, it's someone giving an actual review of a locally owned restaurant that no one has really mentioned on this board.

Or maybe, just MAYBE someone who joined two years ago is now an owner/manager of a new place.

Just messing with him. Maybe it's legit, but it did seem to be a lot of praise.

And for the record, I love reviews of locally owned places.

Very real possibility, no doubt. If I had to guess, not the owner, but has some connection to the manager or another employee.

By post review it seems the OP likes to venture out to restaurants in BR instead of sticking to Ruffino's and Juban's.

I checked the menu. It doesn't look bad. I'll check it out one day

That area of town is always going to have shitty restaurants because their staff is going to be a bunch of college kids who don't give a frick.

Now a fast food/quick place (i.e. Kolache Kitchen)will do better.

It is out of 70808, but only by a few hundred yards. I will use my GPS.

Does your insurance cover that? Maybe take an Uber, or park and walk.

Hopefully they are there during baseball season.

Went there about two weeks ago for lunch. Food was alright. However the manager/owner or whoever he was had a very loud conversation with the bartender about her lack of knowledge on how to make there specialty drinks. It just rubbed me the wrong way because it was something that should have been done in private.
