What Cajun seasoning does everyone use here. Mainly do you make your own or get store bought. Salt free or salt?

I was a life long Tony's user until about 6 months ago. Slap Ya Momma is a far superior product. It's got the perfect amount of spice with less salt than Tony's.

I have been a lifelong Zats guy. Grew up on it, and still prefer it. I've tried several others and always go back to Zats.

Was about to pick up a new can the other day, and I saw the salt free Tony's. I love the idea of controlling salt myself. I find it to be very "Meh".

Haven't tried Slaps yet. Been wanting to for years. I wonder who carries it in Birmingham.

I agree. I still have the can, but I only use it when eating canned soup since that has so much sodium already.

This is exactly my experience as well.

As ar as salt free, Benoit's Best is tops. Paul Prudhomme makes a good one, as does Frank Davis and Andy Roo's, but i can only find those in New Orleans.

Tony's salt free has a salt substitute that gives it wierd taste to me.

As far as actually having salt, Cajun Land is a good, flavorful seasoning salt that doesn't overpower ...that's my favorite.

I've never tasted much diference between Tony's, Zatarain's, or Louisiana Fish Fry seasoning salts.

Slap Ya Momma is good too, i just wish they had a salt free one.

I use Jeanpierre's in addition to Tony's. It's got very little salt in it.

Makes me sneeze every time I use it. I guess the salt keeps the finer spices from clouding up and getting in your nose. I'm not really a fan.

If it doesn't need salt, I usually use Tabasco or Louisiana Hot Sauce.

I just made the move from Tony's to Slap ya Mama. Haven't tried the white pepper blend yet, but will soon.

Don't know how many will name Slap YA Mamma as the best, but I agree with them. Have been using it for three months now and it is just better than Tony's.

I used Louisian brand for a while and really liked it, but it was hard to find.
