They should go back in time and kill the person who came up with pastalaya. It's nasty....

Personally, I like a Pastalaya better, nice and moist, meaty and juicy. I make a damn good one.

Mine would make your toes curl. It’s all about how you make it. Like anything. So many people make it too dry and not enough meat and veggies, just like their jambalaya.

You have to take the time and the sweat and the effort but if you do you’ll be rewarded

I’ve never been a pastalaya fan, but I made a “Cajun chicken pasta” type dish this weekend that I realized is basically the exact same steps as jambalaya except it has a container of heavy whipping cream and a little parmesan. So I guess it could be called pastalaya with cream?

it's cool to hate.

the sheep wait for the cool kids to decide what is good and what sucks. Then they just echo those comments over and over and over.

I don’t either. I mean maybe they had some dry crappy Pastalaya. But i’ve Had awful jambalaya and I don’t hold a grudge against the whole dish.

It’s a simple concept and really, other than some liquid differences, it’s just swapping your starches. So if you have your core of meat and veggies and seasonings down you shouldn’t have any flavor issues.

I think bad Pastalayas have left a foul taste in people’s mouths. I try to change that
