Me too, the only brisket I throw out is a bunch of dried out flat cuts......my preference is a little mix, but given a choice I prefer the point by a large margin.

I liked the one I had in Texas City. Will get another one next time I stop at Bucees.

I just use the drier stuff to add to my eggs, more protein and such. And some flavor.

FYI: The Buc-ees location about 20 mins from the La/Ms border on I-10, in Miss. “ An opening date has been set for Mississippi's first Buc-ee's location. The Sun Herald reported the Buc-ee's in Harrison County is currently set to open on June 9, 2025. The Menge Avenue location is expected to bring at least 200 full-time jobs to the area.”

My only problem with them is they put too much bbq sauce on them for my liking. It’s still not bad, but would like a lighter bbq sauce option. Turkey sandwich is pretty good also.

I was told by people in Luling that they get their brisket from a well known place north of the store. And if you know anything about Texas brisket the Luling is the best if the ones I have experience with. Gulf shores is like Louisiana brisket. More like pot roast.

1/10 of their sandwiches are awful, just the way you said it.

The rest are pretty darn good. You just have to be prepared to toss a loser and go back.

And its still better than many "real bbq" places like The Shed. Would go to Buc-ees any day over The Shed.

It’s a combination of a truck stop and a Walmart with very clean bathrooms. I’ll never understand people that think food sold their should be some incredible meal

Exactly. Their competition is Mcdonald's, Wendy's, Popeyes, etc. Not Franklin or Terry Black.

It's good for food on the road.
