BRQ - Denham?

Has anyone been yet? I saw they opened Tuesday and had a special on some awesome looking steaks. I figured they would be swamped for the first week or so and plan on waiting until next week to try them.

Are you asking about the new one specifically or also about experiences at the original on jefferson in Baton Rouge ?
BR original isn't that great. it's way overpriced and the food is inconsistent from what I've seen my few times and what I've heard from everyone else. Only thing I've never heard a bad thing about are their desserts.
Rack of ribs is like $32 or something ridiculous. Not very good either

The Jefferson location isn't bad; it's simply overpriced. I don't go often, but I'll go on occasion if I'm really in the mood.

Tried three times because I love BBQ and wanted this place to be good. Was underwhelmed first time, next two were just bad. Three strikes.

BR location is horrible. I've been a few times and it was disappointing every time. Ribs and brisket is very dry and all of their food is overpriced. The apps and dessert are good, but I'm going to a BBQ restaurant for their BBQ and they fail miserably in that.

Apparently this board is the only group that thinks this place is bad, everyday when I pass the parking lot is slap full.

100% agree with everything said here. I had some sloppy joe on a pretzel bun that was alright, but I tried some brisket and other bbq entrees that the others at our table had and lord were they dry as hell. I'd stay away from BRQ if I were you OP.
Makes me wonder why BR doesn't have any good BBQ restaurants. I've heard Smokin' Aces is pretty good though, but have never been.

I've never been but it's always packed. BR is starved for decent BBQ though. A Rudy's Country Store would print money here

The owner combined his 2 concepts and moved to Tiger Donueaxts. Sounds like morning is donuts and lunch is BBQ

BBQ services starts at 10 AM, pretty sure they're open for dinner as well now.

I tried it last week and I thought it’s was very good, as did my other family members. It is some what expensive. The pastrami grilled cheese was on point though.
