Going soon. What are the best breweries and BBQ joints in the city?

Yes, I edited the thread to include recommendations for BBQ too.

I went to Catawba, Wicked Weed, Burial, Sierra Nevada, New Belgium and Hi-wire when I was there in April. Enjoyed them all. Honestly can’t go wrong. So many are walking distance in downtown. Just try out as many as you can and enjoy.

Burial, Wicked Weed, Bhramari

There's probably a dozen breweries just in South Slope. Can walk around and hit most in town.

Bhramari, Green Man, Burial, Twin Leaf, and Eurisko all on the south slope. I am probably forgetting one or two.

DSSLVR downtown is great.

Wedge on the western side, then Archetype further west over the river. If you are that direction then check out The Whale Craft Beer Collective.

Agree with the above. Would also add if you’re going to Cursus, New Origin is within walking distance and is also fantastic. I liked Zebulon although they are a little ways north of the main part of town.

I like Wedge. Good beer and kind of a nice spot on the river.

12 Bones is great but I prefer Luella's. Specifically the one on Merrimon. Buxton Hall is worth a stop too if you've never had the whole hog deal

Buxton Hall BBQ. You can throw a rock at like 4 breweries from there, so just pick one. Also Chemist is just around the corner too, next Wicked, they distill Gin and have a few different types to sample as well
