I hope it’s opened up more next month. I’m in Asheville a lot and it’s been a shell of itself durning Covid. It’s turned from my favorite place that work takes me to a place I don’t really care to go. Shitty attitudes abound.
It's so stupid because so many places (like Sierra Nevada, for instance) are perfectly built and situated for outdoor dining/leisure, yet they all jumped so hard on this Covid shutdown bandwagon that they can't seem to easily get off it.

Exactly. It’s almost like they want it all miserable and shutdown. The general attitude and vibe of the people there is puzzling, to say the least.

SN is a west coast company so no surprise.
Starbucks is/was the same.

They are a bunch of Branch Covidians.

I went to Ashville last September and the mask stuff wasn't too bad.

Other than New Belgium and Sierria Nevada everything is open.
Some great lists on this thread. Only thing I would stay away from is Wicked Weed and Greenman unless you plan on getting there right when they open. Expect a long wait if not.
If the line is too long at Burial hit up their restaurant foresty camp. Food is dank and has most of their beer on tap.

Interesting. There was hardly a line at all at Green Man when we were there on a Friday afternoon this past November. This was right after we had lunch at Burial. We walked over and there were 2 people in line in front us. Line at Burial was 50+ deep when we left there, but it was moving pretty fast.

I'm trying to wrap my head around what this means, and whether or not it's possibly a good thing.

Starting to be tourist season. Lots of people out in the south slope area right now.
Last weekend burial had a line down the street.
