2 words: TRY IT.

Details: I have an air fryer that is toaster oven style, not the bucket kind.

I get my boudin from "Boudin by Jamison" on FaceBook, and it comes frozen by the pound. If you're in the metro NOLA area, you should try it, it's as good as any I've had.

You get 2 long links joined at 1 end and the other 2 ends are untied. When you cook it in a microwave, a bunch of boudin oozes out of the loose ends.

What I did this time was thaw it, then force out enough boudin to fill 2 tortillas for boudin burritos.

Barely, I was able to tie the 2 loose ends with the extra boudin gone. I felt this was neccessary, because I didn't want a mess in my air fryer.

I cooked the 2 boudin burritos in a skillet, and cooked the rest of the boudin in my air fryer. The natural casing skins came out crispy and snappy. This is absolutely the way to cook this boudin.

Sadly, I was drinking and didn't write down the time and settings and I didn't take pictures. I will next time.

Jameson’s boudin is absolutely fantastic; however, my only knock on it is that I find it to be overstuffed in the casing

Too much stuffing? I hardly find that to be a negative. Will try.

That's how my grandma cooked it. It's good.

I put it in the air fryer because I didn't want the hassle of grilling it.

Last time I went back home to Louisiana I brought back a ton on frozen Nunus boudin.
Randomly decided to try it on the air fryer one day and that's the only way I plan on ever doing it if not on the grill. I have a bucket air fryer and after thawing the frozen boudin I throw it in for a few minutes at 400 and damn it's good

Contact him on FB messenger. "Boudin by Jamison".

He used to go to various farmers' markets, but he does meet ups too. We usually get it in Metairie on Thursdays at 8 pm. He doesn't like to broadcast the meetup locations - he'll tell you 1 on 1.

He has been selling out fast lately. You have to reserve it early in the week.

I usually put my order a week in advance. Best I've ever had. He's easy to deal with too. Real nice guy.

Thanks for the info. Been getting boudin from either Gonzo BBQ or Chris's.

I've had plenty, and Jamison is hands down my favorite by far. I know he was doing the Abita and Gretna farmers markets as well as doing local drop offs on Thursdays

Do you think I could have completed the Jambalaya Calculator without drinking?

I only like to drink when I cook or when I'm not cooking.

Just those 2 times.

I've got a Cuisinart TOA-60. I think it was about $140.

It has manual controls that I find hard to read and set. You have to set timer, temp, mode, etc. If I had to do it over, I'd spring for the digital version that's a little bigger, about $60 more.

Emeril has one on infomercials that is about twice the capacity.

Dude’s boudin is ridiculous. Warmed up a link of pork check boudin for breakfast in my air fryer.
