I ordered a tuna BLT
The bacon was a piece of sliced ham.
Hard arse bread
Worst sandwich I’ve ever eaten. At least the 3 bites I took of it.

I thought it was good when it first opened, haven’t been there in years though.

It was good when it first opened, but now I don't like it. The wife and I went and both ordered grilled fish. It has zero seasoning. The spicy red potatoes lacked anything close to spice. The grilled asparagus were the only thing that had flavor and that flavor was pure salt.
Their fried stuff that I ate a catered party was pretty good though.

My favorite things there are the tuna tartar and the grilled meatloaf. Haven’t been in over a year though.

Yeah.. this place is pretty bad. Had the fried fish and it was so salty, it was inedible.

I know people have bad experiences at restaurants, but this one surprised me. I usually order whatever their daily fish special is, and I always enjoy.
Also their seasonal menu item is pretty good right now. Some pork tenderloin meal, fried chicken sandwich, and cuban are pretty good.
I have ordered bad things there in the past, but it's still one of my go-to places.

I ate there on Sunday for lunch with some friends. Between us we ordered the frog legs, duck legs, tuna tartar, grilled speckled trout with mango, shrimp & grits, grilled redfish with butter meuniere sauce. No complaints on my end

Been a few times, pretty good experiences from us. Went to mandez’s last time we were in town and think I liked it better

I had the apple and tasso stuffed pork chop a few nights ago. It was great. I also love the tuna and avocado tartar app.
I will say that the gumbo I had two weeks ago was well below par, but I still enjoy this restaurant a lot.

Went there twice probably 6 months after it opened. Both times wife and I did not think it was very good. Next thing you know its the #1 restaurant in Lafayette on TripAdvisor (I know this is not gospel) which means at least a good bit of people like it. Ive also had their catering at weddings and not one time have I been impressed especially for a city with so many good restaurants.

Agreed on the gumbo. I also think their fish tacos would be 10x better if they upgraded their take on mango salsa and doubled up their corn tortillas.

I use their catering a few times a year and it’s always good, can’t remember the last time I ate in the restaurant

They must be doing good business because they are opening in Orange Beach soon.
