Boiling Pot Burner

I have a 60qt boiling pot and I really dont want to get a new set up but I find compared to others that it takes awhile to get boiling and then re-boil. I have a single jet burner but looking to upgrade if possible. Anyone have any recommendations on some better burners?

You may not even need a new burner but could just switch out your regulator with a 30 psi. I use this one and it is only $25. LINK.
I would try that first, and if it doesn't help, you can just return the regulator (or keep it and use with new burner). Keep in mind, with a standard size propane tank, you'll need to keep it form icing up with the higher PSI. I have a shallow tub that I fill with water that I keep mine in. A 30 PSI regulator with a single jet burner should have your 60 quart pot to a rolling boil in 10 min or less. I get my 100 qt pot rolling in about 16 min.
As for burners, I have had two Bayou Classic SP1's for over 10 years now and have had zero issues with the burners themselves, but I switched out the regulators.

A single jet burner is plenty good for a liking crawfish. It’s what everyone has used for decades. It’s not broke, don’t try to fix it.
As mentioned, make sure you have a good larger psi regulator and a full propane bottle helps a little too.
Your other options are a double jet burner, which I like but you must have the correct regulator, or a banjo burner which I don’t prefer.
I’ve never compared the banjo side by side boiling with a jet burner. I actually may do that soon for the food board. Test a single jet, double jet, and a banjo all at once.

I like my banjo burner but I am not sure I would use it as my main boiling burner. I use it for Jambalaya and looks like I am making a crawfish pot worth of white beans later this week.
I really don't care that it takes a few extra minutes on natural gas at home to boil but on the go I want my jet burner.

I finally had to buy a new burner last week. I’m usually boiling at my parents’ house for family and my mom hates the noise of jets so I got another banjo. I don’t know how big my stainless pot is but I can boil 60 lbs of crawfish in the basket. With a 30 psi regulator it came to an initial boil in just under 20 minutes. The crawfish were floating high after 10-15 minutes.
And we could sit and talk next to the pot during that time.
I’m not promoting banjo over jets. Just sharing recent experience. I do think banjos are a bit more versatile. But a double jet has to be faster…and eat up more propane.

I won't stop until my rig has hot air balloon burners.

I just got a 120qt after someone here posted about it. I’m at a rolling boil for one sack in 5 min 2 sacks in less than 12min. It’s all welded aluminum and will last a lifetime without rusting along with crazy fast boil times. Reboil in a minute after you drop crawfish if you do that. You can also swap out to a banjo burner with 3 bolts if you want to cook with the rig. Pricy yes, but I got set up as a whole seller now and can save TD peeps a few bucks if anyone wants. Is it one solid piece or does the pot remove from the stand?

It’s one solid unit. Sturdy and perfectly centered. I think they may sell pots that are not attached but I do t know about stands. I just got setup with them so I haven’t looked at it all yet.
Exactly
I’m glad I ran it at night first because you can not see that in the daytime. I have singed my leg hairs once already. I had to change how I do things. Before it took so long to boil I’d have it running and would be adding seasoning, bags of veggies and so on. Now I put all that in, then light it. It took 6min in the wind for Good Friday with the first sack and 11gal of water. Once boiling I cut it way back and it keeps a boil and it’s safe to approach

I wouldn't have to shave my legs anymore.

My hair on my shins is always singed due to my jambalaya cooks.
