Hey, don't be salty because we had enough sense to keep going and not stop on the first spit of godforsaken land that we encountered.

JudgeHolden is right. Crawfish are in fresh water. They're ours!

Late to the thread, but my sainted Uptown New Orleans mom only ate and served them to us them cold... to the point that when I first had them hot out da' berler some 45 years ago, I didn't like them at all.

I quickly overcame that foolishness. Sorry Mom -- at least she taught me how to drink (early and often, but never let them see you sweat).

Cold crawfish tails (peeled) are fine.

I’m talking about whole boiled crawfish out of the fridge.

It’s not that they are awful. It’s that it misses the point. Melted ice cream isn’t bad, but it was so much better frozen. Cold crawfish aren’t disgusting, it’s just a very poor substitute for real crawfish out da pot.

I eat whole unpeeled crawfish cold. I’ve overbought and overestimated too many times for these Tennessee people. I try to peel when I can, but sometimes I just have too much and come back the next day to peel. If I am saving enough to make bisque, I’m definitely keeping them whole for the stuffed heads, there is a good bit of peel a few for the bisque and peel a few to eat that goes on in that preparation.

I don’t have easy access to them, I’m not throwing away perfectly good crawfish cause I don’t have time/energy to peel them same day as the boil.

This ended up being me drinking beer and slowly eating about 30 lbs of crawfish over the next several hours.

Damn bro, you managed to work in both the crawfish ponds and walk in cooler brags in one post. You should have also mentioned your volcano sized cock.

Grew up eating them cold/room temp. I have a hard time with this now. Nothing like while they are still hot.
