2 people- $70.00. 1 side salad, 1 entree, an appetizer, and 3 beverages (non alcoholic). Anyone else been there? Thoughts?

What did you order? What did you think of the food?
Why did you order 3 drinks for 2 people? Do they have mocktails or something.

you can save a lot of money at restaurants by skipping overpriced booze

Crawfish bread (pretty good and size was good, blackened alligator appetizer (horrible, could have been chicken for all I know, about 10 little pieces if that, also gave me the wrong dipping sauce), side salad which was "ok" but not worth 7.00 for lettuce, some cheese, small Amt of bacon, very hard croutons, dressing tasted store bought. Cup gumbo, cup corn/crab soup, 3 colas, meatloaf entree. Other people with us weren't hungry so it pretty much fed 2 of us.

This
And this
Are not the same
That being said. No surprise on your experience given the reviews the posters on here have been giving the place.

You're right. I was being over dramatic since I didn't seem to enjoy it like others have. I should have mentioned the rest of the details. On the menu there wasn't even a side salad to choose from. Just a $7 house or Caesar (or fancier ones to add chicken to etc.) Typically places have actual "side salads" that are about $4 but usually free with an entree or an additional $2 if it's not included. Instead of getting an entree I opted for the blackened gator and like I said before, I wasn't happy with that. I don't think anyone would be but I could be wrong. As for the specifics- in my first post I failed to mention 2 cups of soup and the bread. Whoops. I will just say tho that the meatloaf was fab.
With this post I was just trying to get an opinion on this place. Not get schooled for making a mistake.

Passed by the place last night, Sunday at 630, was packed with a bench full of people outside.
That being said, I had some of the best chicken and waffles I've ever had, best fried chicken in the city. BUT, the service was some of the worst in the city.
I've heard the service is better now, but I'm in no rush with so many other options and I'm never in that side of town anymore.

The chicken and waffles are legit. We got our food to go the only time I've eaten there, so I didn't experience the terrible service that I always hear about.

Well your original post implied a disconnect between the amount of food you received versus the total dollar value-which after it was revealed there was much more to the actual order. An order which I would think the total amount is not anywhere out of line.
If you don't want to get schooled reveal the facts to begin with.

I'm not sure what world you are living in but I can barely leave the house for $70. There are not many sit down places that you can go to for dinner and not end up paying close to that. hell Hooters will get you for $70 at lunch for two people.

place is terrible.... well, i'll say the overall experience. everybody gets food at different times etc... i've given it a couple of chances and i don't care for it. which is a shame b/c willies is always freakin packed for lunch. they may have 2-4 cars a day there for lunch, don't think they will be able to sustain it for much longer.

Would never go to a place with such a douchey cliché name.

Damnnnn nothing can survive there huh? Had Calendars, Portico, Boil and Roux, now this?? Indeed the waitstaff was nice but we had 2 people trying to take our orders, had to wait 5 min to even get drinks and to order (forgot why). Place was packed but I'll get stuff to go if i wanna try the fried chicken. Something's are a hit, most things a miss.
