You were asking about CCBQ so that is what I posted.
Just making sure. That looks legit.

You should take a drive out to the deep Westbank and get you some LA 23 bbq

Wish that would have never closed. He really did make the best brisket. What is he up to nowadays? I know he was talking about doing popups for a while.
It's a shame he acted like such a fool on social media.

Brisket better at CCBBQ
I highly disagree with this, unless I went on a bad day
The one time I got brisket at CCBBQ, it was dry as hell

The ribs at blue oak are amazing! Best ribs I’ve had in a restaurant. So good you do not need the sauce!

Blue oak > Piece of meat > CCBBQ

Eaten at both multiple times, honestly food is pretty even. Had my best plate in the City one time at CCBQ, but Blue Oak is really good.
Bar areas are about even. With good weather both have nice outdoor areas, however if its wet or cold CCBQ has more comfortable inside seating.
Really the only true advantage, Blue Oak is in a better neighborhood and right off the streetcar line which makes it easier to get to. If your going to CCBQ, you are pretty much going there, you can go to Blue Oak while doing other things.

Me too, actually at least 10x at each and they are close. People saying BOB is way better than CCBBQ either are using a small sample size or, ......

Went to Blue Oak with my Dad. Got the 2-meat combo with ribs and brisket, and potato salad and Mac and cheese for sides. My dad got the cheeseburger. We split the wings and cracklin. It was all delicious. I’d give it a slight nod over CC BBQ. I think both of their wings are on the same level. I never had cracklin so chewy before. The ribs were fantastic. Definitely going back soon.

I give the slight nod to CCBBQ too for their burnt ends alone. I do think BOBs wings are better though.
BOBs specials are usually some of the best bites in town, fried ribs, meatball sandwich, hamburger made of chopped ribs, egg rolls, etc
BOBs craklin are da bomb, forget to mention that earlier.

CCBBQ because of the brisket chili.

Minus the mayo this is a reason to take a trip to BOB on a Tuesday

The house made hot sausage patty sandwich at blue oak is one of the absolute best and most underrated bites of food in the city.
Their wings are amazing as well.
I am not a fan of their brisket, but I'm not a fan of CCBBQ brisket either. Both have always been dry or under smoked for my taste.
Pork is a push
Smoked sausage is better at BO
Brussel Sprouts/Mac and cheese is better at BO
Cracklin is fantastic at BO.
I've never really had a memorable meal from CCBBQ. It's OK, but nothing special. BO on the other hand has wowed me quite a few times.
