Tell him I know someone who will make one for less than half what those people charge.

How much are they selling them for?

The small ones are $650 and the big ones are $950 if I remember correctly.
If you know of someone who can make them for 1/2 of that, send the info!!!!!

There's a welding shop in Hamburg,La that can build the boilers. Not sure how much he would charge. The name of the shop is FAB-TEC 318-985-2081.Mon-Fri.5:30am to 4:00pm hrs.

All you need is a bored welder in a chemical plant and he should be able to turn out a couple every few days.

Like the idea, but a couple of concerns:
1) I bet he's proud of that thing - no price listed.
2) Didn't see wheels on the legs to get it around.
3) Looks like you have to lift the sack (crawfish)higher to get them in the pot. Not sure what the advantage is there, other than the're not boiling hot when you're moving them.
4) Not sure why you would want to double handle them - you have to move them from the ice chest to the table. If the basket comes out, then what is the point of sending them into the ice chest?
5) It looks like it takes up 3x the space in the garage.

Another issue is draining the seasoned water. I'd have to have one helluva long hose to get to the drain in the front of my house.
And I always boil two sacks (70-80 lbs) at one time in my 120 quart pot. This thing is too small.
Nice concept, but it would cause more work for me.

Yes i'm sure he would love to get fired for making crawfish boilers on the job. Those plants don't let you get by with that. Are you going to steal the material too?

Just print out pictures of it and bring them to any fabrication shop in town.

Dude, you just killed their business....everyone is going to take the pics to a fab guy and have it made a lot cheaper.
