Does anyone know if a local meat market in the BR area has blood boudin/ sausage? I know Bourgeois meat market does, but I don't want to make an hour and a half drive for it.

Trying my hand at full English breakfast for a birthday in a few weeks.

None that i know of. Iverstine quite a few years back, at their old location, had it once. They had to stop making it because it requires a lot of FDA approvals to make it. Bourgeois is the only place i know of that makes it. I'm sure there may be some mom and pop stores, maybe in LaPlace, that might have it.

Kartchner’s in Scott had it the last time I stopped by. I'd never had blood boudin before and I thought it was very bland. Which is strange because their regular boudin is very good.

I have seen it at Poche's in French Settlement, not sure if it is a regular item but worth a try

If you have contacts in the Laffy/Acadiana area: I've purchased it from Richard's Meat Market and Hebert's Slaughterhouse in Abbeville. Boudin Noir is not spicy, it's very rich and filling from the blood. I will eat a 1/2 link and I'm done due to the flavor and richness.

Bourgeois' in Thibodaux had it; not sure if they still do. Best I've had is the smoked version at T-Jim's in Cottonport
