Maybe 2 years. It turned into Rasputin after.

That was the first restaurant I went to as a freshman at lsu. I never went back. From what I barely remember, the place was empty when we went in.

My wife and I ate there once, there were perhaps 10 people eating and there was a fish special, we waited forever for food and when we got it, the fish was rancid. Must have been a lot of people that ordered the fish, everyone sent it back without taking a bite.

The Italian bowl. Owner was such a pos douche

You could always count on a few things when going to the Italian Bowl.

- Your order would get screwed up.
- Service would be atrocious.
- Someone would be yelling in the kitchen and it could be heard in the dining room.
- Food would be good, when it finally arrived.

From my understanding, the owner bounced checks often. And it is also my understanding that he had several children in private school in Baton Rouge.

Not a cheap endeavor. I never wish for any local business to fail, but unfortunately, as good of a cook Jonathan was, he was equally as bad as a business owner.

I had a friend that worked in the food industry. He visited restaurants daily and said, "if you saw what I continue to see every time I go there, you wouldn't eat there."

So that stopped that.

yes that was it

I'm fairly certain it was named after Drew Dicharry, a former owner of BrewBachers.

Yes it was. I think in the same spot that became Lucy's.

Times Grill....they actually started off pretty solid, probably one of the first "burger" places around here right before that fad started

what was the name of the Chinese place that was there originally? They actually had legit sit down Chinese food before all of picture menu places did them in.

Rasputins was absurd. Owned by the infamous Jason Doyle who also opened the Wine Loft

Apparently he's in jail now.

Way back when some former LSU great went in with a group and spent a bunch of money opening a place called Line Backers or something like that. I think it went downhill pretty fast after a big opening with lots of marketing

I know I ate there in 2001 so it was open a couple years
