Adding to
chain restaurants
crawfish purging & preparation
ketchup/ranch dressing
best pizza/burger/poboy in town,

anything to do with tipping:

Tipping at Sonic, tipping for carry-out orders, tipping for counter service, tipping for mediocre service, waiters should earn their tips, waiters deserve to be tipped even if service sucks because they make so little & have to split their earnings with kitchen staff, etc., etc., blah, blah, blah...

Chinese Tilapia stuffed with jalapenos and cream cheese, then wrapped in bacon ... served with a cream of mushroom/ro-tel/velveeta sauce.

That hypothetical dish should cover a few "hot-button" topics....

..but only if you get all of the ingredients from Wal-Mart.

Tomatoes in jambalaya? Microwaving steak? Praising a chain restaurant? Ketchup?

1. Don't mind a good creole jamb. I like both brown Cajun but grew up on the red jamb.

2. Have done it to heat up leftover steak. Can't see cooking one in a microwave

3. Plenty of good chains out there and in Baton Rouge. Some are Carraba's, J. Alexander's, Bone Fish, and Zea's

4. I fricking LOVE ketchup and will put it on everything outside of fine foods. But hotdogs, fried foods, anything else. Love me some ketchup

the tomatoes in jambalaya get my heart rate up. Red jambalaya is an abomination and should not be considered jambalaya.

that is a good one. Basically "I love <insert protein here> and I enjoy it best when I <insert cooking technique that obliterates character of said protein>. Mocking and derision ensues.

Praising a chain restaurant?

And anyone who doesn't see why they are a plague and fawning all over them only worsens our condition I just don't think they really get it. Not that they aren't smart, good people, or with it, but rather I don't see them as living to eat rather than eating to live, or concerned more with other things than food.

It's Friday. Let's get it started.
