Anyone ever try this brand? One of the few LA sausages I can get in Nashville.

It looks like great well smoked andouille and is cheaper than most “local” store brands like Savois and Richards. So I bought some. It’s crap. The reason it looks so good is not actual smoke but the coloring it is enhanced with. Even says so on the package, I found out after further review. I would steer clear, but I don’t know what your options are up there.

Know anyone that can ship you some frozen from down here?

I like Veron a lot.

I usually have Teets shipped but I’m in a bind to make a jambalaya for the weekend

I hear ya.

Might be worth getting a pack of Big Easy and trying it this week and seeing if will suffice.

It would be my last option. A quick search shows they sell Conecuh sausage at Publix in Nashville. It's made in Alabama but not too bad. Certainly much better than Big Easy.

If Teet's ships today, even ground shipping to TN is just 2 days. You should have it in time, I would think.

I got some of the Big Easy Smoked sausage. It was pretty good. Very lean with little grease. It goes well with a big plate of buttered grits.

Just get a good brand of smoked sausage to get you through this pinch in timeframe.

I've resorted to using a good Polish Kielbasa sausage when visiting friends up in Indiana and it worked out fine. It's not as flavorful as true Andouille, but beats a cheap, greasy sausage.

Conecuh is pretty good stuff if you can get it.

For what it’s worth Paul Prudhomme always recommended using polish Kielbasa if you can’t find andouille.

I find Conecuh has a strong taste and is greasy

I think they may have changed the recipe in the last several years. I used to really like it but it seems to have a much stronger sage(I think) flavor than it did in the past. Anyone else notice this?

Was faced with that choice once when traveling. Went with Conecuh, and it was pretty good.
