Not sure if I have enough time today to make some pizza dough, so I may pick up a pre-made bake yourself pizza.

Who has some good ones, meaning great flavor dough? I don’t care for Alexander’s dough. Whole Foods or Fresh market any good? I’ll be cooking the pizzas on the Joe.

I *think* Red Zeppelin does take and bake.

But that might have just been during Covid, or maybe I’m just completely making it up lol.

A doomed business model. I get that specialty pizza places offer their take and bake, but a pedestrian chain pizza place. Who wants to drive to a chain pizza to pick it up only to have to drive home and wait for 40 minutes while it cooks ? You might do it once but the next time you'll just pick it up at Domino's and be ready to eat when you return.

I understood the dough. Didn’t mean flavored dough, but tasty dough.

Agreed, but still makes me sad. That dessert pizza was intense.

That’s what I loved about it. We could pick it up on the way home from work or getting the kids from school and cook it a couple of hours later. Maybe they should have pizza ovens and offer both?

But they are still open. It’s a chain across the US, so it’s not a failed business model. I believe one of our local big company construction guys opened the chain in BR. I’m sure it could work if you find out why it didn’t here but does elsewhere.

I agree with all your criticisms, and that's why I've been only once. But there are still about 1,500 locations, including one in Shreveport that's been there for several years. I have no idea why people go there, but they do.

Simple - horrible location in an obscure strip mall near a mostly quiet intersection.. A place like that needs to be in a VERY high traffic area smack in the middle of a highly concentrated residential area. Jones Creek at Coursey, or Bluebonnet at Burbank area would be perfect.

I didnt know Gattis did take and bake. Not sure why I would ever want to do that because I know it won’t be as good coming out of my home oven but interesting none the less…
