Everyone in this thread should be ashamed of themselves for not mentioning waka house, which IMHO, is easily the best in BR.
Waka House
Ichiban
Koto
Sushi Yama

Waka is greatness! And probably has overcome Yama in my book because of overall value. Like Cat said, Yama has become way too expensive for what you get now.
As for that Cowboy roll at Tokyo; tried it once and won't be having it ever again. It tasted the way cat food smells.

Sushu Yama is the best if you sit at the bar and have the owner (Wei) serve you personally.
Likewise Wahada - ask for David.
That's the only way, to me, to eat sushi.
If you sit at a table and wait for your order, they're all about the same. Might as well go to Nagoya and pig out.

tsunami has a good ribeye:)

For me:
1)Sushi Yama
2)Ichibans
3)Hello Sushi
4)Tokoyo Cafe
The gap between 2 and 3 is fairly wide. But there are many places I haven't tried so I'm limited as of now.

Tokyo cafe is a well rounded place. The only real weakness is that they don't add as much flavor to many of the regular rolls, like us coonasses like. The service, price, freshness, tightness of roll are all good. (not awesome)
good meal every time.

I went to Sakura last night and also for lunch last week and have to say it is considerably better than when I went shortly after it first opened (I didn't plan on going back).
The rolls were all generously sized and the fish was very fresh both times.
For lunch, they have some special where you can get 2 rolls and soup or salad for $8.50 (I think) or 3 rolls and soup or salad for $11. The roll choices aren't everything on the menu but it is still a good variety and a great value.
For dinner we sat at the bar and had a Pikachu Roll, Philadelphia roll, Good Times roll and Sexy Mama roll (we were hungry, lol). We just ordered as we went along and the rolls definately did not skimp on fish. I think the Sexy Mama was our favorite of the 4.
If you haven't been in a while, I would suggest giving them another try.

My personal faves are Waka House & Tsunami. A lot of people say Tsunami is overrated, and I used to feel the same way, but over the past year or so I have been extremely impressed on my visits. Their "Green Monster" roll is my favorite roll in the city, and their Big Tuna and Sea Bass rolls are great, too. I don't care for KOTO at all, and Ichiban and Kamado's have been very average. Hello Sushi is not good at all. Haven't been to Sushi Yama yet, although I've heard great things about some giant tropical mixed fish salad they have (see below)...

It seems like everyone around here is roll crazy. I like to belly up to the bar and have the dude make me what's fresh that day. It sparks their creativity.
