A pound is a lot of cracklins though

Almost 2500 calories worth. A pound of ribeye is only 1100ish

As long as they take to cook, it doesn’t surprise me

If you've ever made, or witnessed cracklins being made, you understand the price quickly.

You don't like the price, fine, don't buy 'em. More for my fat arse!

that's the current market price baw

you're gonna pay $20+ / lb. for cracklin , boudin is selling at $6 / lb.

jerky is likely over $25 / lb. .... I make/dehydrate my own jerky and it comes out to around $8 / lb.

Les Miles has lost control of cracklins.

Or is it another Putin Price Hike?

La Morenita sells chicharonnes - skin on pork belly strips fried up like cracklins - back at the meat counter. I don't know the current price but I'm certain they're well below $20/lb.

They are unseasoned. To remedy this chop them into pieces, heat them in the oven, and toss in whatever rub you like. Making your own is an enormous PITA, these are easy and fantastic.

That fricking place has trash everywhere in there parking lot and on the Woodale side where their dumpsters are. It looks like shite and I wish they'd take some pride in their area and pick up after themselves.

I agree the parking lot is terrible, like driving through a landfill on the moon. I ignore that part. They have one of the best meat counters and produce sections in town.
